Anti-Aging
Your Anti-Aging Routine: 20s
Build the simple, prevention-focused habits in your 20s that pay off for decades to come.

Most people do not think about anti-aging until they see the first signs of change. But the 20s are actually the most powerful window for prevention, not because aging is urgent yet, but because the habits you build now will determine how your skin responds in the decades ahead. A simple, consistent routine today is worth far more than an elaborate corrective one later.
The Prevention Mindset
Prevention works differently than correction. When you are in your 20s, your skin still has strong collagen production and good cellular turnover. The goal is not to fix anything but to protect what is already working well. Sun damage, dehydration, and chronic over-exfoliation are the main culprits that accelerate aging in this decade, and all three are easy to address.
Morning Routine
Your morning routine has one clear job: protect. Keep it short enough that you will actually do it every single day.
- Cleanse gently. Use a low-foam cleanser to remove overnight buildup without stripping the skin barrier. Your face should feel comfortable after rinsing, not tight.
- Apply vitamin C serum. A lightweight vitamin C serum helps neutralize free radicals from sun and pollution. Apply after cleansing and before moisturizer.
- Moisturize and protect. Follow with a lightweight moisturizer, then apply broad-spectrum SPF as the final step every morning, including cloudy days. This single habit has more anti-aging impact in your 20s than any other product.
Evening Routine
Your evening routine focuses on repair and hydration. It can be just as simple as your morning routine, with one extra step when needed.
- Double cleanse when needed. If you wore SPF, makeup, or both, start with a cleansing oil or micellar water to dissolve them, then follow with your regular cleanser. On bare-skin days, a single gentle cleanse is enough.
- Apply a hydrating serum. A serum built around hydrating ingredients adds moisture back into the skin after the day's exposure. Apply while skin is still slightly damp for best absorption.
- Moisturize. Use a slightly richer moisturizer than your morning formula to support the skin's overnight repair process.

Building Good Habits Early
Once the core routine feels easy, a few optional additions can help. A gentle acid exfoliant once a week keeps skin tone even without over-stripping. Face yoga practiced regularly builds awareness of facial muscle tension and encourages circulation, focusing less on correction and more on developing the habit of releasing tension in the jaw, forehead, and brow.
- Never skip sunscreen on overcast days or when staying mostly indoors, since UV exposure accumulates even through windows
- Avoid over-exfoliating with multiple acid products or scrubbing more than once a week, which weakens the barrier and accelerates aging
- Resist layering too many actives at once, since introducing several new products simultaneously makes it impossible to know what is helping or causing irritation
