Face Yoga for Women Over 50
In your 50s the lower face and neck do the most talking — softening jawlines, jowls, and the crepey “turkey neck.” This plan gives them two full weeks, with 53 exercises across four weeks and about nine minutes a day, in one printable PDF.

What’s inside
Two full weeks for the jawline and neck
28 days, 53 exercises, weighted toward where the 50s show most: week two builds the jawline and works on jowls, and week three is a whole week for the neck — the searches this edition is built to serve.

Why an Over 50 edition?
- The lower face and neck get two full weeks — jawline and jowls in week two, then a dedicated neck week — instead of a single rushed session.
- It’s honest about limits: exercise can tone the muscles under the skin, but it won’t tighten loose skin the way a procedure would.
- The pace suits maintenance in your 50s — steady, repeatable work at about nine minutes a day.
The plan
Four weeks, weighted to the lower face and neck
Week 1
Lift Foundations
Set the base: mid-face activation and posture cues so the lifting and toning work in the weeks ahead has something to build on.
Week 2
Jawline & Jowls
Targeted resistance and toning for the jaw and the soft tissue along it — the area most people in their 50s ask about.
Week 3
Neck & Turkey Neck
A full week on the neck and platysma — the sagging, crepey “turkey neck” zone that most short plans skip.
Week 4
Eyes, Forehead & Glow
Round it out with the upper face and a full-face massage flow to finish — a routine you can carry forward.
Let’s be straight about jowls and neck sagging: face yoga works muscle, not skin laxity. The one study we lean on — a small 2018 JAMA Dermatology trial — found modestly fuller cheeks and a rating about three years younger after 20 weeks of daily exercise. It’s early evidence, not a promise: expect subtle, gradual changes. Read the science
Questions, answered
- Is the Over 50 challenge really free?
- Yes. You get the full 28-day plan and all 53 illustrated exercises as a printable PDF, free. We ask for your email so we can send the download and occasional face yoga tips — unsubscribe with one click, anytime.
- Can face yoga exercises help with jowls?
- They may help tone the muscles beneath the jawline, and week two focuses on exactly that. But jowls are largely about skin laxity and fat-pad shift, which exercise can’t reverse. Be realistic: expect firmer-feeling muscle and better tone over weeks of consistency, not the result of a lift.
- Will this do anything for a “turkey neck”?
- This edition gives the neck a full week — platysma toning plus massage and posture work — which some people find makes the area feel firmer and less tense. Crepey, loose neck skin itself is driven by ageing and sun and won’t tighten from exercise alone, so treat this as gentle support rather than a fix.
- Do I need any equipment or experience?
- No. You need a mirror, clean hands, and optionally a drop of facial oil for the massage moves. Every exercise has step-by-step instructions and a form tip. This isn’t medical advice — if you have a skin condition, thyroid issues, or a recent procedure, check with your doctor first.
